Muhammad Kabir – Imam
Imam Mohammed was born in Accra, Ghana. He pursued his Islamic education at Al-Amin Islamic School, Holy Qur’an School, the Institute of Islamic Studies, and the Islamic Research School. He later studied at the University of Ez-Zitouna in Tunisia, where he earned a degree in Islamic Studies and Theology.
Imam Mohammed is a Ḥāfiẓ of the Qur’an and holds certifications in multiple methods of Qur’anic recitation, including Hafs, Qalun, and Warsh.
He has served as an Imam in various locations. In Tunisia, he served at Masjid Rabie, and in Ghana at Masjid Sahaba. In Ghana, Imam Mohammed also founded the Maryam Qur’anic Memorization Center, where children are trained and supported in memorizing the Holy Qur’an.
Imam Mohammed currently serves as an Imam at the Islamic Society of Norman and teaches Qur’an and Islamic studies.
Imam Mohammed enjoys reciting and teaching the Qur’an. He is married and has children.
